| Estimating Cycle Times for Turning |

 The turning estimator has been designed to simulate all common maching process that are carried out on a Lathe.
As with all the simulators its use is optional meaning that if you are confident with your own estimating abilities you may simply type in your own estimated time but if you need to be more precise the Turning Estimator will accurately calculate the total cycle time for each operation.
All the basic information such as material, cutting feeds & speeds etc are taken from the main quote so the user needs only to specify diameters and lengths of the journals and other dimensional information regarding the various features such as grooves, tapers and faces etc.
All the diameters on a shaft can be estimated in no time on just one form by simply entering diamters and lengths. The system immediately calculates the total time spent roughing and finishing and can even allow for toolchange times.
